AIS and RIM Introduce the BlackBerry Curve 8900 Smartphone in Thailand 

Bangkok, Thailand, 10 March 2009 – AIS and Research In Motion (RIM) (Nasdaq: RIMM; TSX RIM), today introduced the BlackBerry® Curve™ 8900 smartphone in Thailand. The new BlackBerry Curve 8900 is the thinnest and lightest full-QWERTY BlackBerry® smartphone and it offers an expansive feature-set in a compact and refined design that looks, feels and works great.

The new BlackBerry Curve 8900 smartphone sports a chrome frame with a stylish black finish. Packed within its sleek design are a wide range of powerful communications and multimedia capabilities. It also features an easy-to-use full-QWERTY keyboard and a large, brilliant display.  Weighing just 110 grams and measuring 109 x 60 x 13.5 mm, the BlackBerry Curve 8900 fits comfortably in the hand for either one-handed or two-handed use. In addition to its advanced phone, email, messaging, organizer, web browser and multimedia applications,  it features built-in GPS to support location-based applications and services. It also allows easy access to social networking sites and has built-in Wi-Fi® (802.11 b/g), making it easier to stay connected to family, friends and colleagues.
